Learning and Teaching Expo 2023 was successfully held on December 13-15! In response to the strong demand for AI and coding education in primary and secondary schools, Trumptech showcased the latest STEAM teaching solutions to teachers and education professionals across Hong Kong. This aimed to assist teachers in preparing for the extended 'IT Innovation Lab in Schools' funding program.
Dr Choi Yuk-lin, JP, Secretary for Education, visited Trumptech's booth and took photos with Mr. Kwok Tin Ming, Founder and Chief Executive of Trumptech
Showcased the future of AI and Coding education with 5 series
The booth was divided into two main parts: 'The Future with AI' and 'Gen Coding.' It presented five series of learning and teaching solutions, each accompanied by a comprehensive learning journey and supplementary offerings such as interest classes, certificate courses, and competitions in the Greater Bay Area and across the globe.
The Future with AI
*NEW* GLI Technologies Gomer AI Robot Series
(For P.4 - 6)
Trumptech staff demonstrated to teachers how the Gomer AI robot uses coding to apply image recognition to identify the mission icons on the competition map and perform corresponding actions to earn points. This series is particularly suitable for students who are new to programming, as it allows them to focus on understanding AI concepts and practicing coding without the need for project design or building.

SenseStorm AI Teaching Series
(For P.4 - S.3)
Teachers learned about the sample models built using SenseStorm hubs and building blocks, including a mechanical door that opens when it recognizes visitors' smiling faces and a winning project model designed for agricultural production management in last year's AI competition.

Gen Coding
FIRST® LEGO® League Competition Series
(For P.1 - S.3)
Teachers watched a live demonstration of robot game missions from the international robotics competition, FIRST® LEGO® League. The ingenious design of the robot further revealed the learning possibilities and inspirations for participants. They also learned about the latest seasonal theme, MASTERPIECE, which combines technology and art, encouraging students to promote artistic development using innovative approaches.

CodeN'Sim Coding Solutions
(For P.1 - 6)
Trumptech staff demonstrated how the lower primary division of the CodeN'Sim competition works. The competition, which primarily focuses on icon-based programming, is popular among teachers and is one of the few strategic coding competitions suitable for students in grades P.1 - 3. Students must push cubes to their respective scoring zones within a time limit to achieve the highest score. Many teachers also took on the challenge and attempted to code and score in person.

*NEW* micro:bit Legged Robot Series
(For S.1 - 3)
Students controlled legged robots using a remote controller and raced against their peers to knock down the balls in the shortest time possible. The seemingly simple walking actions are actually achieved through the combination of multiple coding instruction groups, challenging students' computational thinking and problem-solving abilities. This series is among the first to receive the 'STEM Mark' certification from the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council.
